December Featured Caregiver
Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of December….Haley!
Haley has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for a little over one year. She’s originally from Buena Vista and still resides in the area with her eight-year-old daughter Arabella. They have two dogs, Lola and Gemma, a bunny named Milkshake, and four cats named Mr. Socks, Puffy, Shadow, and Island. Outside of work, Haley enjoys spending time with her daughter doing all the things she likes to do, in addition she loves to make candles and hair bows. Her favorite types of foods are Italian food and anything spicy, her favorite type of music is Country, and she couldn’t pick just one movie as her favorite, she loves them all. A fun fact about Haley is that a sea turtle is her spirit animal because she would love to go deep sea diving one day.
When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Haley said “…being able to be my mom’s caregiver and feeling like I’m making a difference. I used to work so many hours before becoming a caregiver that I hardly had any time for my daughter or my parents. Now I get to spend time with my mom and daughter once I get all of my daily tasks done…we get to craft together and make wood home décor items.” Her advice for new caregivers is “…always ask your client what their daily routine is, so you can learn it and work around their routine to get your daily tasks completed. Go to the mandatory meetings and listen to the information they give you and take some notes!” When asked what caregiving means to her, Haley said “…giving your client all your attention and listening to them when they tell you something or how they want something done. Being that person that they can trust and rely on.”

November Featured Caregiver
Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month… Milton!
Milton has been with the An Answered Prayer family for one month. Milton is originally Monessen but currently resides in Charleroi. Outside of work, Milton enjoys exercising and reading. His favorite type of food is pizza, loves all genre’s of music, and his favorite movie is Don’t Be a Menace. A fun fact about Milton is that he’s a great basketball player.
When asked about his favorite part of being a caregiver, Milton said “…building a bond and making my clients happy.” His advice to other caregivers is “…always be patient and treat your clients like family, not just a person you work for.” When asked what caregiving means to him, he said “…it means helping/improving someone’s wellbeing.” His favorite memory with his client so far has been some of their in depth conversations.
We’re so thankful for Milton and the wonderful addition he is to our team. He takes such great care of his clients, and we can’t wait to watch him grow throughout the company. Keep up the great work Milton!
October Featured Caregiver
Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of October… Levi!
Levi has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for a year and a half. He’s originally from Patterson, New Jersey but currently resides in Pittsburgh. Outside of work he loves spending time with his kids and being a big family man. His favorite foods are steak and potatoes, favorite type of music is Rap, and his favorite movie is Home Alone 2.
When asked what caregiving means to him, Levi said “…helping and making people’s lives better.” When asked about his favorite part of being a caregiver, he said “…I love to help people out.” His advice to new caregivers is “…make sure you get to know your client.” His favorite memory with a client is the one time he took them to Sandcastle.
We’re so thankful for Levi and the positive impact he has on all of his clients. He’s a wonderful addition to our team, keep up the great work Levi!
September Featured Caregiver
Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of September… Keshia!
Keshia has been with the An Answered Prayer family for 2 ½ years. She’s originally from Pittsburgh and still resides in the area with her family. She married her soulmate and high school sweetheart, and they have an intelligent and vibrant five year old who just started kindergarten. Outside of work she enjoys communicating with God, lifting weights, sunbathing, moon and star gazing, reading, creating, and self-improvement. Her favorite food is Mediterranean, her favorite types of music are native American flutes/percussion, classical, jazz, and nature, her favorite movie is Their Eyes Were Watching God. A fun fact about Keshia is that she enjoys making social media content and has gone viral a few times.
When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, she said “…raising a person’s frequency to a more positive pitch.” Her advice to new caregivers is “…Often, a persons physical, mental and/or financial state is out of our control. Sometimes the most we can do is just be empathic, mindful and a listening ear.” When asked what caregiving means to her, Keshia said “…continually utilizing past and new and existing skillsets to improve an individual’s way of life.” Her favorite memory with a client is “…Literally laughing through hours of older standup routines after realizing we share the same humor and comedic interests.”

August Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of August…Crystal!
Crystal has been with the An Answered Prayer family for eight months! She’s originally from Duquesne but currently resides in the Penn Hills area with her family. Her and her husband have three children, Latesha, Ladawn, and Kamron. Outside of work she enjoys spending all her time with her family. Her favorite food is chicken, her favorite type of music is Old School R&B, and her favorite movie is Purple Rain. A random fun fact about Crystal is that she loves singing and when she does, she loves making up her own words.
When asked what caregiving means to her, Crystal said “…being empathic and compassionate.” When asked what her favorite part about being a caregiver is, Crystal said “…making a difference in someone’s life.” Her advice to new caregivers is “…with the right attitude and dedication, caregiving can be a rewarding experience that can help you grow as a person.” Crystal’s favorite memory with a client was when she took her to pick up her new kitten named Midnight.

July Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of July… Cheryl.
Cheryl has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for four years, she’s originally from the Northside and still currently resides in the area. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her daughter Melissa, as well as other family members, playing cars, watching movies, and shopping.
When asked about her favorite part about being a caregiver, Cheryl said “…Being able to help those who can’t help themselves, trying to help their daily lives.” Her advice for new caregivers is to “…try to make your client see that you care and are providing for them everything in the best interest of daily living.” When asked what caregiving means to her, Cheryl said “…to know that I can help someone with their daily living and provide them with security and trust, allowing them to live a full life.” Her favorite memory with a client was one time when they thought they hit the lottery.
Cheryl’s favorite food is steak and potatoes, her favorite type of music is R&B, and her favorite movie is Pretty Woman. A fun fact about her is that she used to love to skate but she can’t quite do it anymore.

June Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of June… Tyrique.
Tyrique has been with the company for six months. He’s originally from Pittsburgh and currently resides in Homestead. Outside of work he loves spending his time with his children and his family.
When asked about his favorite part of caregiving, he said “…I like helping people.” His advice to new caregivers is to “…learn to have patience.” When asked what caregiving means to him, he said “…simply being helpful.” His favorite memories with clients are when he also gets to spend time with their families.
Tyrique’s favorite food is lasagna, and his favorite types of music are Rap and Hip Hop. A fun fact about him is that he’s very talented at writing music.
We’re so thankful for the loving caregivers that are apart of our staff like Tyrique, they put their heart and soul into taking care of their clients and we couldn’t be as great a company without them. Keep up the great work Tyrique!
May Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of May, Lori!
Lori has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for over SEVEN years. She’s originally from Johnston, but currently resides in Export with her family. Outside of work she loves spending time with her junior high sweetheart, they’re about to celebrate 32 years of marriage and 42 years together total, as well as enjoying time with her 30-year-old son and 28-year-old daughter. In addition to time with family, she loves spending her time taking care of her rescue animals.
When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Lori said “…I love helping others! I also love to watch my client achieve little milestones…it warms my heart.” Her advice to new caregivers is to “…give it your all! We are blessed to work for such an awesome company.” When asked what caregiving means to her, Lori said “…treating whoever you are caring for as FAMILY.” Her favorite memory with a client was “…driving them to the mountains so they could smell the country air and feel the wind on their face.”
Lori’s favorite food is pizza or pasta, anything with bread and carbs… her favorite types of music are Hip Hop, Disco, and Rap, and her favorite types of movies are anything created by Tyler Perry. A fun fact about Lori is she has two black lab puppies, four inside cats, and a rescue duck. She has even rescued everything from bearded dragons to bunnies and guinea pigs. She loves animals!

April Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of April… Leonard!
Leonard has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for SEVEN years and he’s originally from North Braddock but currently resides in McKeesport. Outside of work he loves spending time with his children and dog and taking time for himself.
When asked what his favorite part about being a caregiver is, Leonard said “…helping people.” His advice to other caregivers is to “…have patience.” When asked what caregiving means to him, Leonard said “…getting to meet new people and helping them.” His favorite memory with a client is when he took them fishing one time. When asked about his favorite food, he couldn’t choose just one, so he said “…everything!” His favorite TV show is South Park and something he thinks everyone should know about him is that he loves to have fun.
We’re so thankful for the caregivers that are a part of our company like Leonard. They take great pride in their work and take great care of our clients. Keep up the great work Leonard!
March Featured Caregiver
I would like everyone to meet our featured caregiver of the month, Alison Russo!
Alison has been with An Answered Prayer for almost 7 years!
Alison’s favorite part of being a caregiver is helping her client live a better quality of life each day! She truly enjoys taking care of children and the elderly. Her best advice for other caregivers is to be kind, be patient, and always keep smiling every day!
Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She has two children and one dog she truly loves! She also has other hobbies she enjoys including fishing, visiting the casinos, going out for Italian food, and reading her favorite book, Gone with The Wind.
Her go to music choice is Soft Rock, and if you asked her a random fun fact about herself, she would tell you she is hilarious!!

February Featured Caregiver
Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of February… Linda!
Linda has been with the An Answered Prayer Family for four years. She’s originally from Pittsburgh and currently resides in Munhall. Her husband passed away six years ago, and they have five children: Wayne, DeVaughn, Renita, D’Angelo, and Joshua. She also has a nine-month-old Yorkie Poo named Skye as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Outside of work she loves to host family gatherings as well as going to Church, watching movies, going bowling, and she loves to cook and try new food.
Linda’s advice to new caregivers is “…be a caregiver that does this line of work because you care and are compassionate. You must have a lot of patience.” Linda’s favorite part about being a caregiver is “…the reward is returned to you from the person you care for. The love that is expressed to you. Being able to see the smile on their faces because they know someone cares.” When asked what caregiving means to her, Linda said “…providing awesome quality care for someone. Caring for someone with love and compassion. Listening to them and being there to support the physical and emotional parts of them.” Her favorite memory with a client is when “…I was hugged and kissed on the cheek, and they were crying saying over and over again… ‘thank you! Thank you!’”
Linda’s favorite foods are ham, mac n’ cheese, yams, greens, and rolls. She enjoys listening to Gospel music and her favorite movie is Double Platinum. A fun fact about her is that she loves people and would give the shirt off her back to almost anyone. Others needs matter more to her than her own.
We’re so thankful for the kind and compassionate caregivers that are apart of our team like Linda. They are shining examples of the type of people is takes to be a successful caregiver. Keep up the great work Linda!
January Featured Caregiver
Meet our featured caregiver for the month of January… Shalynn!
Shalynn has been with the An Answered Prayer family for TEN years. She’s originally from Pittsburgh and still resides in the area with her family. She has four children: Kyree, Kaylee, Kali, and Kalvin. They also have a dog named Lola. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her children and family.
When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Shalynn said “…being able to help and make their life comfortable so they’re happy. I feel when the person is being treated well and their home is comfortable, they live better lives and I enjoy having my clients…they’re like family members at this point.” Her advice for new caregivers is “…Sometimes it’s hard but it’s only in the beginning…once you get into a routine and have a relationship with your client it will all work together.” Simply stated, when asked what caregiving means to her, Shalynn said “…the opportunity to give back and help others.” Her favorite memory with a client was “…one time when they got a new puppy…she was so excited and happy.”
Shalynn’s favorite food is shrimp alfredo, her favorite movie is Doctor Strange, and her favorite type of music is R&B. A fun fact about Shalynn is that she’s a goofball when she’s around her family and friends.
We’re so thankful for dedicated team members just like Shalynn. Ten years of service and commitment to her clients is quite an accomplishment, we’re so proud of you Shalynn, keep up the great work!
