Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of March…Ethel!

Ethel has been with the An Answered Prayer family for almost three years. She’s originally from Pittsburgh but currently resides in Indianola with her husband Robert. They have two children: Cheryl and Bernadette. Outside of work Ethel is usually taking care of her family, or finding time to rest. Her favorite food is Nathan’s hot dogs, she loves all types of music, and her favorite movie is Car Wash. A fun fact about Ethel is that she’s really family oriented. Not too long ago, she took all nine ladies in her family out to a nail salon and paid for everyone to get their hands and feet done so they could have a relaxing day.

When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Ethel said “…It’s about heart, soul, mind and what you can feel…stepping outside yourself…everyone needs someone. I believe that there is a nursing code that we should follow.” When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Ethel said “…Being with people and making them happy, and giving hugs to make their day.” When asked what caregiving means to her, Ethel said “…Helping those who can’t help themselves like I would take care of my mom or grandma. For me it’s about love.” Ethel’s favorite times with her clients are when they get to go out to the park, go to the movies, or go shopping.

We’re so thankful for Ethel and the wonderful presence she brings to our caregiving team, she is a blessing to her clients!
